Balance A Two Way Street - 846 Words

Balance: A Two-Way Street Ever since I was a small adolescent, I have been surrounded by sports and competition and I believe it has shaped me into who I am today. Growing up, my mom always made me focus on my academics while my dad made me focus on sports, which led to conflict between my parents deciding what aspect of life was more important. Trying to balance both academics and sports and trying to please both of my parents was very difficult, but I managed it pretty well until my junior year in high school, where my athletics increased and my grades decreased, which is not what I wanted. When I was 5 years old, my dad signed me up for football, baseball, wrestling, basketball, and soccer. Now some might say that’s a little overboard for a 5-year-old, but I believe it helped me become more mentally strong, even aside from the psychical side of playing 5 sports. In most families playing sports was a privilege, but my dad used to say in the Pizzuti household it was a â€Å"way of life†. We would constantly be throwing around the ball, practicing, and running, anything to push me to another level above everyone else. When I turned 10 I stopped wrestling and soccer, but still had 3 competitive sports and now I have started surfing. I quickly saw myself being average at basketball and surfing, but above average in baseball and football. My dad also noticed these things and thought I should try out for my baseball and football team in high school, I wasn’t able to continue surfingShow MoreRelatedChinas Currency Case: Export Driven Dependancy Essay1581 Words   |  7 Pagestrade deficit to trade surplus country. Graduation Speech Students Cultural Diversity

Introduce better. When I originally set out to start this project, I started out wanting to explore how books could be used to address diversity in the classroom in terms of the students’ cultural backgrounds. After spending time in my classroom, I came to the realization that investigating this question would be a challenge, due to the fact that I was only able to observe a handful of situations where students interacted with books, much less books that included aspects of culture. In my classroom, books that incorporated the various traditions and cultures around the world was a rarity, reflecting the scarcity of books in the children’s book industry. Because of this issue, I set my sights to analyzing how teachers address the students’ cultural diversity in their classroom. My observations took place at a private Quaker school situated in an urban setting in the Philadelphia area. The school is committed to seeking truth, challenging the students’ intellect, honoring differences, embracing the city, and nurturing each student’s mind, body and spirit. The observations were conducted in an early childhood education program in the classroom at their school. I was able to observe once every Wednesday morning for approximately two hours, between the times of 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. This went on for a total of seven weeks, from October 7th to November 18th. Answer: Introducation effectively communicate with our target market our key message to them is that as #salty we care about their sense of fashion and we understand that they need to make a statement with their beachwear clothing and look good, and as such our products are trendy, always up to date with current fashion trends in Australia with color and vibrant patterns added to the design of our beachwear products. On top of this, our products are designed for high performance and that its pricing is right and affordable to them and that our products range caters for both warmer and cooler periods of time.1 Source and source factors The source of our key message include the age bracket of our target customers, their sense of fashion, purchase power of the target group, high performance and whether patterns in Australia. Rationale for the source factors The age bracket of our target market niche will inform us the nature of the customers we are dealing. In our case, the age brackets of 16 25 years old are young people with put in great effort to look good before their peers and anyone important to them. They are mindful about their looks because in this particular group many of them want to be seen as young people who are up to date with current trends and set pace for others to follow in the end nearly every one is involved in trying to outpace the other2. The age bracket also informs the purchasing power of our target clients which calls for fairly affordable prices but which are above standard prices to make sense when the products are said to be classy. It is important to highlight the fact that our products are of high performance because when in beach young people get involved in sporting activities and as such we our product must be said to be enhancing performance by giving them comfortable wear that will bring out the best in them when swimming or doing any sporting activities at the beach or indoor3. 1Del I Hawkins and David L Mothersbaugh, Consumer Behavior (2011). 2Graham J Hooley and others, Marketing Strategy Competitive Positioning (1st edn, 2010). 3Jim Avery, Advertising Campaign Planning (Melvin Leigh, Publishers 2016). The bill boards containing our products will also be placed near schools, Colleges or Universities in order to expose them to the largest percentage of our target market as possible. Fashion Theory (Books for Libraries Press 2009). Geographical scope Our advertising should majorly focus on Melbourne Australia market as this is where we have our products available on stalls however customers in other parts of Australia can order their items via any of our social media channels and we shall deliver to them via local courier service. Research frequency and objectives #salty always put into consideration the feedback we get from our clients in as we ask them to comment on our social platforms about their experience with our products. This is a continuous process which the company reviews from time to time in order to stay trendy and true to its promise of offering our clients the best in terms of fashionable and high performance products. Considerations #salty has contingency measure in place in the event of unexpected turn of events in this promotional campaign. We envisage that the would be feedback from clients and our own observation in the way promotional campaign will run that we may need to make adjustments in order to continue improving on our marketing strategy and reach more target clients. In view of this we have budgetary allocation for this purpose set at 30% of the total budget of the initial campaign8 Promotional tactic #salty intends to use a number of channels to reach out to its target clients as follows; Facebook, twitter and Instagram These channels would be the most effective considering the age bracket of our target market. They are tech savvy and mostly have at least one form of presence in social media if not all of them. This is therefore a key marketing channel to us in reaching our target market. TV and Radio These two channels will reinforce our primary strategy of advertisement which is social media. In case there are youths who do not have any presence in social media and they like listening to music on Radio or watching favorite program on TV, then this strategy will enable #salty to reach to such customers and let them know about our products. Persons of influence The company will also use one of the celebrities in Melbourne Australia to help drive up numbers in sales because we know they are capable of influencing the kind of decisions youths make while purchasing trendy clothing. This is also a way of promoting local talent and thus gives youths a sense of belonging in #salty products. Website The company will also put up all it products on its website and direct clients to visit its website by indicating the address on its social media pages and fliers. 8Yasuharu Fujiwara, 'The Influence Of Clothings On The Perception Of Personal-Traits And Personal-Traits On The Perception Of Clothings' (2008) 40 Sen'i Kikai Gakkaishi (Journal of the Textile Machinery Society of Japan). Fliers This will be distributed in activations that would be staged in Melbourne City Australia. The fliers will contain such information as our location, prices, selling points and address for our website and social media accounts. Evaluation The company will focus on specific deliverables that will inform the success of the promotional campaign to determine the effectiveness of the campaign. For social media platforms #salt will look out for increase in sales leads generated from these platforms compared to previous numbers.9 It will also assess the increase in the number of likes its for Facebook page and followers for Twitter and Instagram (IG) handles. The same measure will be used to evaluate success of fliers distributed as it contains links to our pages and website10. The links are specific to the fliers such that the company would be able to know social media or website visits originating from fliers. The performance of the celebrity chosen will be measure through crowd he/she is able to pull when conducting promotional gigs for #salty11. Conclusion In conclusion, promotional campaign is one of the fundamental aspects of the any successful company. Given that #salty products follow fashion trends closely and are of high performance we have no doubt that our products will be a success in the market and be able to compete favorable with the competition in the market. The company will asses the performance of this campaign and come up with necessary additions or subtractions in its continued endeavor to be the company of choice for the athletic beachwear products. 9Kurt W. Virginia Unemployment Essay Example For Students

Virginia Unemployment Essay The economic situation differs from country to country, caused by difference in population, geography, monetary system, political situation and a lot of other factors. But even within one country there are always a number of regions that differ from one another by their economic performance. This situation is especially true for big countries like US. If the regions are too broadly defined, the economic diversity would be lost. If the regions are too narrowly defined, they are not likely to have any viability as economic entities, and this circumstance will increase the problem of developing good regional economic data pertinent to the individual regions. We will write a custom essay on Virginia Unemployment specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now Economic indicators like income, employment and population may differ in the rural and urban areas of a single region, but the growth of the region still depends on the economic performance of the region as a whole, and especially the towns and cities. An input-output model is very useful of measuring regional economic activity. Such a model effectively determines the impact of one economic variable on another can be used to analyze expected growth. The measure of regional economic indicators and comparing them to national could produce a good estimate of economic performance of a region. The regional economic model in case of the region within US could be compared with the model of a small country. And national model could be seen as an aggregation of many interrelated regional models. This paper includes an estimation of the regional economic model The model is an attempt to estimate possible relationship within economic indicators. This paper also presents an analysis of regional economic indicators and national economic indicators in order to compare economic performance of the region and national economy as a whole. This model use annual national and state level data to produce regional estimates of income, employment, wages, population, labor force and the unemployment rate as a economic indicators for Virginia state as a region. Previous studies Regional scientists have long attempted to develop meaningful definitions and measures of economic diversity and diversification, and to establish functional relationships between diversity, diversification, and economic performance. The Regional economic models where (were) created to answer questions like What is the relationship between a regions changing economic structure and performance. Recent econometric models of regions were stressing macroeconomic relationship as a main idea of structuring of the model. A Number of models have been constructed for states and even smaller areas in order to find an effective forecasting tool linking the regional economic forecasting to the national economic forecast. Regional models were constructed as satellites to national models. Economic base theory views regional economic growth as being driven by exogenous final demands, notably exports. Input-output models are extensions of the economic base model, whereby intersectional economic relationships are explicitly considered Because of the underlying assumption that the regional economy is driven by exogenous final demands. The idea of regional economic model that is (instead of that is say used) in this paper is based on two studies that present economic models of regions in US. One study, reports on a regional economic modeling approach used by East Kentucky Power Cooperative, Inc. (EKPC), a rural electric cooperative that serves 280,000 residential customers and 15,000 commercial customers in east-central Kentucky. These models use quarterly, county-level data to produce regional forecasts of income, employment, wages, population, labor force and the unemployment rate (1). Another study describes an economic model for state of Mississippi (2). Both studies indicated economic variables in regional output, labor, and income and wages blocks and estimated regressions on order(must be in order) to fine (must be to find) direction of dependence among variables. Both studies provide graphical interpretation of their models. Data Regional models often use data, which is allocated to the region, state or national level on the basis of employment, income or some other variable actually measured at the regional level. .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe , .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe .postImageUrl , .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe , .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe:hover , .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe:visited , .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe:active { border:0!important; } .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe:active , .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u29f589222b9e5b9e1840c065208d17fe:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Love Analysis Essay Such data may serve the needs of particular model specifications and produce forecasts of variables. In this study, Virginia regional model uses a variety of national and regional data. The variables are summarized in (Appendix A). All variables were taken from University of Virginia Social Science Data Center (8). Gross domestic product (GDP), the featured measure of U.S. output, is the market value of the goods and services produced by labor and property located in the United States. Because the labor and property are located in the United States, the suppliers (that is, the workers and, for property, the owners) may be either U.S. residents or residents of the rest of the world. So GDP was taken .
